New Pairings

No, it is not 60 degrees in Milwaukee. It was about 40 when these were taken though! Just "warm" enough to have my jacket off for 4 minutes without freezing. I'll take what I can get.

Wearing a bunch of new things here: vest, shirt, boots, & purse! (When I say new I really mean I got some for Christmas and just found them in a pile in my room). Isn't it great when all your new things go perfectly together? I hardly ever wear polka dots...or mustard..or both at the same time. So adventurous!..or I just had to wear all my new stuff at once....yep, that's it.

Also, I brought my purse outside to photograph with my outfit, but my camera battery died before I could get a shot with it so I ended up photographing it inside..you get the idea.

Thanks to Mary for taking these! Perks of blogger roommates :)

Winter Floral

I wore this outfit to another performance of the show I stage managed this winter. Sadly, our run is over but it was amazingly successful and I'm so proud that I was a part of it. :) That being said, it will be nice not to drive 25 minutes there and back everyday. Got old real fast.

This dress is obviously a summer dress. It's even strapless. I just love how it fits and the floral pattern so I threw on some boots, sweater tights and a jacket and forced it to transition to winter. Sometimes I need reminders of summer during winter so I can remember that it will in fact become warmer....eventually.

That's all for today. I've gotta get to bed because classes start tomorrow for the spring semester...yay. Guess what else starts tomorrow?! My internship! That's right, I got an internship when I wasn't even looking for one for this semester. It kind of fell into my lap, and it couldn't be more up my alley. I'm interning with Luxury Garage Sale in Chicago in their photo department. If you don't know, they're a designer consignment company that sell people's designer things on ebay for them! Check out their website(HERE) if you want to see what's listed/find out more! I cannot wait to be around such amazing clothes/accessories and get some hands on experience in the fashion world! I can't help but be a little nervous since this is totally new to me and my first internship, but I know that it's going to be amazing. Wish me luck!

Blogger Secret Santa Gift & Christmas Outfit!

This post is a little overdue, but better late than never!
I participated in Mary, my roommate, and Viktoria's blogger secret santa this year and it was so fun! I got these great earrings and scarf from Sarah of The House That Ag Built. The earrings were a bit out of my comfort zone since I usually stick to small earrings, but I really love them! They were the perfect final touch to my Christmas Day outfit. Thank you so much, Sarah! :)

Fall Overload

I really went all out on the fall colors for this outfit. I knew I wanted to wear this new blazer/jacket from H&M but it was kind of cold so I added the scarf and thermal underneath and voila! Fall overload!

Admittedly this was a few weeks ago. I just moved in with Mary a few weeks ago and I'm still getting everything put in its place so I haven't really been on top of my fashion game. My next post is going to be something fun that me and Mary did together, so stay tuned for that! :)

Opposites Attract

For some reason when I wear a very feminine outfit, I feel the need to go in the opposite direction the next day. Example: these outfits. I love both, but if I had to choose to be more feminine or more masculine in how I dress, there's no doubt that I tend to gravitate towards my more masculine pieces. I just feel more myself in some kick-ass boots, black leather jacket, and jeans. What pieces do you feel most comfortable in?

PS - introducing my new hair color! The cooler seasons always make me want darker hair. :)
(no idea why it looks slightly purple in the first outfit photos..it's not purple)

Brights & Stripes

My, doesn't this color combination look familiar? Apparently I wasn't done with the whole yellow-green & blue combo quite yet. I changed it up by adding some stripes and a new blazer from Forever 21. I already have a black blazer, but this one has awesome gold buttons...totally different so I obviously had to get it.

About these pants.. I absolutely love the color of them, but I wouldn't recommend buying them. They stretched out like crazy. I was practically holding them up by the end of the day. Bit of a bummer.

PS - This is my last post with lighter hair. Stay tuned for my new fall do!

PPS - I won my first giveaway today!! I won this dress from Kate of O My Heart. Thanks Kate, can't wait to style it!

This or that?

Just a few things I've been trying to decide between...

A perfect coat to transition from fall to winter:
ASOS Premium Wool & Leather Parka  OR  ASOS Navajo Pattern Parka

Shoes at TJ Maxx begging me to take them home:
  ($50)                                                                                               ($60)

So hard to choose! Which ones would you pick?

Navy Over Neon

Funny story about this outfit: right after I put it on and was happy with it, I looked at the floor of my bedroom and saw the shirt I wore the day before...3/4 sleeve top from Forever 21 that's navy with yellow-green sleeves..the exact color of this sweater. I basically subconsciously copied the shirt I wore the day before. Hahah whoops. Oh well, I still like how it came out :)

Vest: Sears (randomly walked past it, and it was on sale for $7 or something like that..score!)
Sweater: Zara (probably more like "Zara" considering I bought it in Vietnam at a market)
Jeans: BDG, from Urban Outfitters
Boots: Nine West Vintage
Necklace: Forever 21

Concert Heels

These pictures are what happen when I wait til it's basically dark out to take outfit pictures. It just gets dark so freaking early now! One of my least favorite parts about the changing seasons is shorter days. Come back sunlight, I need to take outfit pictures! So, sorry for the lack of detail in these pictures. I guess I could've used the flash, but as a photographer I try to avoid flash at all costs.

As you can probably tell from the title of this post, I wore this outfit to a concert. Jon McLaughlin and Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers to be exact. Look them up if you don't know who they are. SO good. You can't see my favorite part of these jeans, but they're studded along the pockets. Pretty much why I got them. Also, I'm wearing heels. This is very rare, and my feet were practically screaming at me at the end of the night because they're used to comfy boots. Sometimes a girl's gotta wear heels, ya know?
