It's not like the movies. It's not all skin and bones.

Cardigan: H&M, Lace Dress: H&M, Leggings: Charlotte Russe, Boots: Boston Store(Brand in R2), Belt: Charlotte Russe, Necklace: Forever 21

This was today's outfit. I've had this lace overlay dress for quite a while better never wore for some reason. It's getting pretty chilly here in Chicago so I paired it with a cardigan, tights, and boots. Also, I used my professional camera to take these so hopefully the quality will be much better than the others :)

Have a great weekend!

p.s.-The title of this post is from Walking the Dog by fun. They're my new musical obsession. Check out the song here!

First Video Outfit of the Day!

Shirt: Forever 21, Gray Tank(underneath): TJ Maxx, Jeans: Levi's (from Australia), Boots: DSW, Zigi Soho, Necklace: Forever 21

So, here's my first outfit of the day in video form. I think it gives a better, more accurate depiction of the outfit. More like seeing it in person. Also, this video is posted on my youtube channel with other fashion/makeup/organization videos so feel free to subscribe if you like them :)

Sequin Pop

Sequin Vest: H&M, Purple Racerback: Charlotte Russe, Jeans: BDG (from Urban Outfitters), Scarf: H&M, Boots: Diba (from DSW) Leather Jacket: Express

This is my outfit from last Thursday. It was supposed to be pretty warm out, but it ended up being cooler, so I threw on my black leather jacket too. Basically all I did was go to class. I love this sequin vest, but I don't find a lot of opportunities to wear it. I thought it gave a nice pop to my otherwise super simple outfit. It's lined with soft cotton on the inside too, so it's really comfortable.

Two outfits in video form coming soon! :)

Military Tuesday

Jacket: American Eagle(couple years old), Blue Collared Shirt: TJ Maxx, Jeans: Forever 21, Boots: River Island(UK Store), Gold Bracelet: Free People, Gold Necklace: Urban Outfitters

Makeup: Simple cream & navy

This outfit is actually from last week Tuesday, but I haven't gotten around to putting it up until now. I just had class in the morning and then went to an improv show at night.

I can't get enough of the military trend. I've been happy to see that it's still popular for next season. I love the colors within this trend too. Greens, browns, and blues(and sometimes black). That sentence reminded me of naming the vowels..anyone else? haha. Maybe I just need sleep. School has been pretty relentless lately.

Well that's about it for this post. I have another outfit photographed and ready to be put up, and another I took a video of. Trying out some new ideas :)

Jacket: Marshalls(American Eagle), Thermal: Urban Outfitters, Cami: Charlotte Russe, Jeans: Forever 21, Scarf: Not sure(Express maybe), Boots: DSW(brand is Diba)

This outfit is from Sunday. I didn't go much of anywhere except to run some errands. It was pretty cold in Chicago so I suited up in long-sleeved thermal, scarf, boots, and leather jacket.

Lots of my favorite fall trends are in this outfit.

Boots: I can't get enough of the milary boot look. I have quite a few pairs of boots so I can match any possible outfit of course!
Scarves: I have so many, yet I know once fall really rolls in, I'll be getting more. I love how this one added a nice pop of blue and matched my blue cami. I also came up with a different way to wear this scarf. It's pretty thin, but I wanted it to be a little bulkier so I wrapped it around my neck twice and sort of weaved the ends through the two layers.
Leather Jackets: Another trend I don't think I'll ever get sick of. I have a few of these too, and I can't help myself but to look at them every store I go to. I love the tough look they give, and this one's pretty warm too.

What's your favorite fall trend this year?

Sunday, October 3, 2010

Hi, my 3 followers! Haha. I'm back on the blogging train. It's been over a year since my last blog post. Wow. I now plan on posting at least a few outfits a week.

A little update on my life: I now go to school in downtown Chicago and I LOVE it. I actually think that living in the city is what re-sparked my love for fashion.

I also started a youtube channel with my roommate from my previous school. I've done a few "Outfits/Faces of the Week" videos on there. I'll post them in this video just to give an updated look at my style as it has changed a LOT since my last post.

If you're just finding my blog, expect many many more posts to come :) This is just the beginning.
