Sheer Love

For some reason, these leggings get a lot of looks every time I wear them. It's not exactly normal to have (faux) leather paneling on leggings, but are they really that different?? I'm always so surprised at just how many people stare at these things! Whether they're staring because they love them or hate them, I love these leggings so much. They're just a great way to spice up any simple outfit.

I think this top is now my third or fourth sheer button up top. They're so easy to throw on for a warmer fall day. And I told you I couldn't stop wearing these boots. They go with everything. Can't stop, won't stop.

Also, thanks to my mom who took these in the middle of making dinner because the sun was going down super fast. Thanks mom!

Fall Colors, Summer Temps

Well it sure does look like fall, but it definitely doesn't feel like it. When I wore this a few days ago, it was in the high 70s. Crazy! This week it's supposed to be in the 50s, so I'm already missing the warmer weather. Fall weather is great, but it always seems so short lived. Hopefully winter will hold off a little longer this year...not likely up here in Wisconsin sadly.

I really like this ruffle tank top, but it's kind of a weird shape if I just let it hang(super boxy) so I don't wear it very often. Tucking it in a bit did the trick for this outfit so I could finally wear it :) This belt has become such a go-to belt for me when I can't find one that works..it seems to go with everything. I even just got some awesome leopard flats/loafer hybrids(you'll see what I mean when I wear them on here, SO cute). The belt was the only leopard print thing I owned, so I obviously needed another leopard accessory. Okay maybe not need...well, maybe just a little bit. Everyone needs a little leopard(print or actual animal..how cute would it be to have a little tiny leopard?!). Okay, I definitely didn't get enough sleep this week so I'm getting a litttle loopy. Which also means I'll be getting way too much sleep tonight. Can Not Wait.

ps - sorry for all the unintentional headless photos. guessing where I'll end up running into the frame and posing can be kind of difficult.

Concert Heels

These pictures are what happen when I wait til it's basically dark out to take outfit pictures. It just gets dark so freaking early now! One of my least favorite parts about the changing seasons is shorter days. Come back sunlight, I need to take outfit pictures! So, sorry for the lack of detail in these pictures. I guess I could've used the flash, but as a photographer I try to avoid flash at all costs.

As you can probably tell from the title of this post, I wore this outfit to a concert. Jon McLaughlin and Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers to be exact. Look them up if you don't know who they are. SO good. You can't see my favorite part of these jeans, but they're studded along the pockets. Pretty much why I got them. Also, I'm wearing heels. This is very rare, and my feet were practically screaming at me at the end of the night because they're used to comfy boots. Sometimes a girl's gotta wear heels, ya know?

Grunge Inspired

This outfit is much more casual/disheveled that I normally post, but that's kind of why I wanted to post it. I don't know why, but I've always loved the whole grunge look. Maybe it's going to an art school of 95% hipsters or maybe it's my inner rocker wanting to come out, but every once I feel the need to let my style get a bit edgy. I kept it semi-feminine with the color and jewelry, but otherwise kept my ensemble all black in typical rocker fashion.

I also tend to stray away from posting outfits where my hair is up because I tend to look bald, but I did some profile shots to show you that I do indeed have hair back there, haha. And I'm wearing my glasses for once. Pretty rare because I hate not being able to wear sunglasses, but I do love my glasses.

Oh, and I took these photos in the little studio set up I have in my house for senior pictures I shoot and whatnot. I couldn't avoid getting the bottom of my fancy backdrop(aka sheet nailed to the wall..) in the full body shots but that's okay. :)

Red, Black, & Cutoffs

I know these pictures aren't my usual quality, but I was determined to post this outfit! Not because it's super groundbreaking for me or anything, just a bit different from my usual look. I've always loved the whole cutoffs and tights look, but I never seem to think of it when I'm trying to figure out what to wear for the day. I'm glad I finally thought to try it out though. Great way to keep wearing shorts a bit longer with the cooler weather!

I wore this outfit to class and then to a Hanson concert(yes, that Hanson). I know you're judging right now, but all I can say is to look up some of their new stuff(I suggest 'Give a Little' or 'Thinkin' Bout Somethin''). You won't be disappointed :) I was also staying at my friend's place in Chicago, hence the new background.

One more thing: these boots are kind of my new obsession. I got then at TJ Maxx(I think..) and they're Dirty Laundry brand. I've always loved boots, but the wood heel and red laces make these different enough that I have to stop myself from wearing them everyday, ha.

Catching Up..

Wow, it's been awhile. As I said in my last post, I was in Vietnam for about 11 days. I don't think I'm going to want Vietnamese food for quite some time, but the trip was amazing. Vietnam has such a diverse culture and landscape in such a tiny country. Our trip was a bit hectic because we wanted to see as much as possible in 11 days, and that we did, and it was so worth it. Since I'm a photographer, I'm still working on getting my hundreds of photos edited. Once I'm done with them, I can definitely do a post of the highlights of trip/my favorite photos if that's something you'd like to see. It's one of the most colorful places I've ever been, so I was pretty much constantly photographing something/someone haha.

Anyways, I'm back to blogging finally. In this post I'm going to include a variety of outfits that I've neglected to post in the last month or so. Hopefully then I'll feel all caught up and ready to get back to a few outfits a day! I'm also hoping to do a favorite beauty/hair products post, & new items I've recently purchased post very soon. :)

Thanks so much for bearing with me through this huge gap in posting. There's been a ton going on other than being out of the country for a bit. Mainly, me & Mary's apartment situation. Super long story short, we thought we found the perfect place, signed the lease, and started to move it. Gradually we noticed tons of problems from the lack of smoke detectors, to electrical problems, and we decided to get out of our lease and find a safer place to live. Unfortunately, it's been a headache and a half to finalize this thing, and trying to deal with this landlord is nearly impossible. But! We did find an absolutely gorgeous perfect apartment that we're moving into November 1st, and we cannot WAIT. It couldn't be more perfect. This new apartment has definitely been the silver lining in all the chaos. Okay..that wasn't exactly a short story, sorry.  :) Now on to the outfits, already!

Sorry for the photo overload, but I'm all caught up now! As I was adding each outfit I realized this is also kind of a shift in seasons through outfit photos. Accidental, but kind of cool haha. Fall is definitely in full swing now, as you can see in the last outfit(only a few days ago). Once again, thanks so much for bearing with me. I hope to get back to posting at least a few times a week now :)
