Studded Military

So this is a really typical outfit for me: mostly black, lace-up black boots, hat, off-the-shoulder top. At least one of these is an my outfit every single day, I guarantee it. I love these jeggings I got at Filene's Basement the other day too. They're olive green(although they don't really look it in the photos) so combined with the black, they definitely give the outfit a military feel, which I love! I also think the off-the-shoulder top is needed to add a bit of femininity and/or flirtyness..if that's a word.

Snowy Fashion

This is a few days old, but it was pretty snowy so of course I had to wear my Hunter boots. It's also always nice when it's snowy because then I have the excuse to just throw on a beanie instead of putting some effort into my hair :)

Salty Boots & Cheetah Prints

I'm finally back to school in Chicago! I got my roommate to take my photos, so the quality should definitely improve now. My living room here has the nicest natural window light that I've used to shoot other people, so I was excited to use it for myself :)

I've loved the cheetah print fad ever since I saw it showing up on other peoples' blogs, but I wasn't too sure how I could pull it off without being over the top. Then I saw this scarf at forever 21 and I knew it was the perfect way to add some cheetah to my wardrobe. I love this mix of neutrals and warm colors like black and browns with the cool light blue color. Also, the building next to ours is red, so I'm pretty sure that's why my hair's looking super red!

Easy Style

One of my current favorite looks is a mostly black outfit with a bright bold color to make it more eye-catching. That's why I love this blue top. I normally don't buy bright pieces, but I've been trying to make myself at least try on brighter things as I tend to subconsciously go for everything uncolorful for some reason. It's a bit sheer as well, which is another trend I'm loving. And it makes my eyes look super blue, so that's always nice!

This shirt makes for a pretty easy no-fuss outfit too. It's long enough to wear with a long-ish cami and opaque tights, so it makes for a super quick put together outfit..which is why I bought it in olive green too :)

Sorry for the subpar picture quality. I'm visiting friends from my old school, but I was still determined to get some outfits photographed/blogged. And it was also kinda nice having someone who can actually take them for me! All I did was drive up to the school, and then later went out to dinner. So I wanted to be comfortable but still put together. I've also been trying to wearing less black, as it seems to be becoming my go-to, and it's getting a tad well...dark, for lack of a better word.

I'm finally back to blogging after many months.

My goal is to get 4 or 5 outfits posted per week!

Today I wore the Forever 21 shirt that I just bought the other day. It reminds me of Free People so much but the price is much nicer and it's still pretty good quality.

Cameo by my cat Max who loves to lick my leather boots haha :)

I forgot how difficult it is to photograph outfits all by myself. Even with a tripod it was so hard to find a well lit place in my house for some reason so after many tries I gave in and used the flash. Hopefully I can figure out a solution!
